Deuce

I began writing this story November of last year, during my first week at work, to those who are clueless, I got back on the working grind that same month. I was still full of (myself *grins*) energy then, I attempted to be a superwoman, it was an epic failure, obviously; being a working mom sure is hard, REALLY HARD. Five months later, DEUCE is finally, finally done. I deserve lots of love, don't you think?

Oh yeah, this is sort of a second chapter of GAME OVER, or not; it can be and can be not. Hmm, I just decided that I'm still undecided, so yeah, uhm, just carry on *grins super-duper widely*.

"Can we talk?"

"Not here Hyun Joong," she answered

"Where then?"

He waited for an answer but there came none. "Tell me where and when and I'll be off, I'll obey you like a good little pup just give me a chance to explain, to tell my side of the story. I know you're angry, and I can't damn well do anything if you choose to continue to be so but you have to hear me out sooner or later, so please..."

He paused, waiting... but nothing came. Not a word, not even a glance or a sigh, and as much as he hate to admit it, he must be turning into an emotional looser, because it hurts, the way she treats him like he's nothing, freaking hurts like hell.

"I had looked for you everywhere, but you're ability to hide surpasses even that of my best security men, after almost a month of hide-and-seek I had finally caught on, I deserve a reward don't you think," he paused, hoping for a response. He heaved a sigh and continue, "a minute or five of your time would do."

Silence. His litany was met with silence. At that time even a twitch would have suffice, heck, he would have welcome violence, even.

"Aren't you tired of hiding, of running away?" he pressed on.

"Aren't you tired of running after me?" she countered.

"I will never! I'll go to the ends of the world and run after you for the rest of my life if I have to. I'm willing to do that, and I am sure I can do that and more. I need you that much. I love you that much."

"You ne-"

He didn't let her defer him, afraid that he might loose his nerve. "But the pain of knowing that I am the one you're running away from, that I can't handle; the mere thought that you detest me that much, that my existence in your world prompt you to hide, is killing me."

He stopped, pain and regret laced his voice, but hope, hope shone in his eyes.

She gripped the back of the chair, hard, stilling herself from all that she heard, more than his words, his misery.

She was almost in the loosing front of her inner battle but she can't, not just yet, she wasn't ready... to forgive... to forget.

"I can't, I'm sorry," she whispered, drained.

Her answer didn't make sense, but he understood nonetheless.

"Hye Jung-sshi," an intruder called; they both turned, curious.

His presence painted a whole new picture, a small smile tugged on her lips, which eventually turned into a satisfied smirk.

"Jung Ji Hoon, you know I've been waiting."

He looked at his watch, "Not a minute late, I think a hug is in order," he teased.

She giggled, literally. A bit inappropriate if you'll ask her husband.

"Oh, Hyun Joong-sshi, thank you for lending me your wife."

He stood rooted.

She passed him by, "Deuce!"

He stood still, rooted, AND at a lost.

Game Over

A short one, may nang-irita lang sa akin kagabi at dahil pinili ko manahimik para di ma-hurt ang feelings nya, eto isang efef, asar lamang, hays... pasalamat kayo sa taong may sala, bigay ko account nya sa FB, hahaha...

They've been married for a year but that doesn't stop women from throwing themselves at him, who wouldn't, he's a real life Adonis who has the world in his hands.

Kim Hyun Joong is one of the leading icons of the Hallyu wave and, currently, one of the flag bearers of Korean entertainment's pursuit to stamp their name in the international scene. He was an idol leader who made a name as a solo artist, both as a singer and an actor, but his boldness made him a star - he had gotten married at the age of twenty-seven with his reality TV co-star, Hwangbo Hye Jung, who is six years his senior.

It wasn't an easy choice, he weighed his chances and gambled. It is fortunate for them, for him, the age of romanticism lingers, theirs was accepted as one of those twisted fairy tales.

He continued on his path and became a household name not just in Korea but the whole of Asia, while the woman behind him opted to let her star dimmed and focused on her business ventures, charity works and being a wife.

It's not perfect but they wouldn't have it any other way, they were the half of each other's soul, they fill the void in each other's heart, he completes her and she completes him.

It was pure bliss. Until he made one fatal mistake.

He gave in to temptation.

It wasn't planned, he never ever dreamed of cheating on his wife, it hadn't cross his mind, not ever. It just effin happened.

He was tired and lonely in a place far from home, and she was there. He long for warmth in his bed, and she was there, willing to give it to him. He had a little too much to drink, she was there, and that's all it took.

For him to walk on the path of no return.

He woke up dazed, liquor do that to people, he saw the woman in his bed and panic surged in; he remembered what happened and he felt loathing so powerful, how he hated himself; he thought of Hye Jung, that's when fear crept in.

He knows her too well.

But the deed is done, he had already sinned against his wife.

He did everything to keep that impropriety a secret, but the guilt, the shame, it's killing him. Remorse made life a bit difficult each day, he looked as dashing as usual but inside he was breaking apart.

Every time he came home to a sulking Hye Jung, he trembled in fear; every time he had an out-of-town and out-of-country schedule, his trepidation increases; every time she went out to hobnob with her celebrity friends, he feared for the worst.

But he was able to pull through, he still had his wife by his side, unsuspecting, undoubtful.

But secrets are bound to be revealed, it's an unwritten law of the universe. It is just a matter of time.

And his came, just when he expected it least.

It was their second wedding anniversary and he gifted her with a beach house in Jeju, she was more than grateful and immediately agreed on a getaway. A secret rendezvous,a second honeymoon... almost.

They arrived in the island an hour after twelve and decided on having lunch at Seaes, before heading to their new home.

Wrong move.

They were deflected out of their way when his former PD spotted him at the hotel, it is but necessary to pay his respect, so he asked his wife to go ahead and order for him.

Another wrong move.

He approached the PD and his crew and was aghast to find out who the star of the drama they were shooting is - the woman who had led him to infidelity. But she was nowhere in sight, so he was forced to ask and then he wished he didn't.

He bowed and strode away, and ultimately made a run for it, but he was too late.

He found them, talking, he walked closer, with muffled steps, midway, he caught her eye and was privy to her un-shed tears.

The deed is done.

Game over.

NOTE: I have a food blog, Pud Blag ni Ako, and yes I'm shamelessly pimping it, go and give me some love there, puhleese!

She

Bubuyog, utang muna ung fic na promise ko sau, pwede sana ito pero dahil may mention ng ibang girl, I dare not dedicate it to you, hehe. I promise to do it as soon as I'm able :D Para sa chinggus na tigang sa efef, hope it delivers :D

**********

A man's road to success is never easy, and his is no different, what he have now - the fame, the fortune, the adulation of fans all over the globe - those are but fruits of his hardwork and sacrifices.

To most it is just one of those days, but not to him, today he won't care about anything but himself, it's not often that he was given a day or two of rest, especially after he released his first solo album, he now made a mark on his own, he is and forever will be a part and leader of his group SS501 but it'll be hypocritical of him to say that breaking out and making it through, all on his own merits, didn't send him off to a different kind of nirvana. But he won't dwell on any of that today, today he woke up with one goal in mind - to have a taste of happiness, a glimpse of his heaven.

He cooked himself some ramen, checked the stacks of DV-R, all of which are her shows, recorded by the wife of his manager hyung for his viewing pleasure, grabbed the remote and found himself the most comfortable seat on his couch. It has been a while and he had missed on a lot so he had planned on doing nothing but be high on her, his personal brand of ecstasy, his very own cocaine - his happiness, his addiction.

He was on his last few discs when the door to his condominium unit open, he was too engrossed on watching her to hear the tick of the lock.

She came in armed with meat and soju, she has never been comfortable drinking any kinds of liquor but months of being with him thought her to conform to what he likes. She still lacks the tenacity to go on a drinking binge with him but being with him as he do so is enough for her, any activity that permits them to be together is good enough for her. She took a number of steps in and was frozen in dejection, he was casually seated on his couch watching the woman she knew he loves like the rest of the world doesn't matter, like no one else exist but her.

It felt like an eternity had passed before she got the courage to say a word, she faked a cough to get his attention but even that cost her heartache. It took her three tries, three fake, forceful coughs before he took notice, before he took his eyes away from the television screen, away from her.

"I don't know who among us three has the worst fate, she, for having been robbed out of a happy ending with you; you who had fallen for her, a woman you are forbidden to love and then settling with another woman you knew you can never love; or me, for being that woman. To the world, I, Jung So Min, is your girlfriend, envied by everyone, but in reality, I am just a stranger you, Kim Hyun Joong, had never spared a minute to know and you will never do... am I right?"

She held her breath and patiently waited for a reply, hoping against hope that he'll say or do something to disprove what she had just said but none came. She silently made her way out, battling with her own tears, she had known it since the beginning, she knew that she's in for a heartache but that didn't stop her from dreaming, from hoping... even at that moment, the part of her heart that isn't broken still beats for him.

He stared at her retreating back, willing himself to call her name, to stop her from leaving, to promise her a new beginning, but he just can't, because everything that she had said is true. His heart, his whole being, doesn't belong to him anymore, he had given it to her, to his one true love, to Hwangbo Hye Jung.

They may not be together, but that doesn't mean they can't love each other from afar.

What's In a Name? (Part 3 - A)

Finally, an update. Don't you just detest my laziness *grins*? Actually, this time, I have an excuse, been sick, was confined for two days, because I am a friggin' glutton *lol*, most of my cyber friends know (read: if you don't know, it just means one thing, we're not, hahaha, kidding!) that I am allergic to certain kinds of seafoods but none the worst than squid and they also know how stubborn and hard-headed I am, eating and sampling a few once in a while. I get out unscathed most of the time, because I am always equipped with the right meds and allergy-busters, but some times I do get punish for all my wrong deeds *grins*, and so I did, but I am fine now, ready to write you a decent enough efef and have a taste of calamari again *tongue out*.

She went out of the restaurant and left, willing herself never to look back, determined to build a life without him.

She sighed, 'Freedom is bittersweet.'

She was welcomed home by the incessant ringing of the phone which she didn't bother to pick up, every ounce of energy she has had been sucked out of her, now all she wanted was to lie down and rest. 'Another failed attempt on an anniversary celebration, third on my list, all with the same man. Oh, why is my future so bleak?' Even her thoughts made her weary.

Her mind and heart had took on a grueling task and was just begging for some repose
but the respite that she so desired, was also the respite that she couldn't have, just like Kim Hyun Joong, the only man that she dreamt of spending forever with, the same man who didn't gave her forever a chance.

She was lying in bed prompting herself to win over the ceiling in a staring contest, a battle of will, when she heard the silent creak of an opening door, "Darn, I forgot to change the code again." For every time she seek refuge at her place after a fight, the drat man that she so love was able to sweet talked her to a reconciliation, all because he knew the code to her security lock. She was that easy, she was hopelessly in love.

She rigidly wait, pretending slumber, torn between her will to face reality, to let him go completely, and her wish for a fairy tale ending.

She felt his weight beside her, so she braced herself for an onslaught of tender words, words of repentance, words of endless promises, but she felt like eternity had passed before she heard him whispered, "Hye Jung-ah."

And her heart sung of love all over again, her mere name coming from his lips was enough to thaw the ice that she had been coating her heart with. 'Oh God, give me the strength to resist, please force my heart to understand that I can't live like this, not for long...'

"Hye Jung-ah please... I know that you're awake, I had watched you sleep for a dozen times, for every time I made you wait, for every time I made it home late, for every time I woke up scared that you're not beside me anymore, for every time you fell asleep after we made love, the tranquility in your face, in your form, I know all about it; I'm sorry but your light and constrained breathing gave you away. Let's talk," he pleaded.

She steeled herself from his beseeching voice, willing herself to stay still.

He waited... for a response, a nod, a twitch, any sign that she's listening, that she still care. But he was awarded with none, "I know that you're angry, I know that you're hurt, I know that you've given me a second, third, fourth, fifth, hell, my hundredth chance and I know that I screwed them all up, I know that I am not the best boyfriend, I won't even compare to a regular one" he smirked, contempt on oneself. "Bloody hell, I even know that you can find a man hundred times better than me, someone who will always be at your beck and call, but what do I do, I love you too much to just let you go. I love you too much to..."

"Marry me then," she cut him off, a challenge and a plea.

He was flabbergasted, he didn't expected that, not from her, if it was her way of shutting him up, she succeeded big time.

He looked funny with his mouth ajar, his hand suspended in mid-air, his body immobile, he looked like somebody stunned him. She would have laugh, if she wasn't feeling aggrieve, if she wasn't dying of a broken heart.

Minutes had passed, but it seems like a lifetime to both, "No?", she choked, using all her mental prowess to bind her brewing emotions, to settle the score.

"Hye Jung-ah, you know that I want to, it's been our plan all along... but... it's not yet the time, I am not ready, my career's just taking off, my fans..."

"Arasso," she said, stopping his litany of excuses, "I understand."

"Hye Jung-ah," he called in the tiniest of voice, scared of what was to come, of her verdict.

"Then, we both know what to do," her answer, her voice firm, her face free of emotions.

"Wha-"

"I want something that you cannot give," she continued, blocking his words, unwilling to give him time to think of a rebuttal, of another way out, she was scared, because more often than not, her mind looses to her heart, and her heart doesn't belong to her anymore, he had ruled over it eversince they got together. "And I am tired of being the adult in this relationship, I am tired of being patient, of giving in, of waiting, of hoping... I want a break, I badly needed a break -"

"A break, a space, I'll give it to you, whatever you want, I'll wait in the sidelines, I'll wait until you're okay, I'll wait patiently, until you're able to call me, until you say my name."

"I wanna start anew."

"We will start anew, I will be better and we will -"

"I want out Hyun Joong, I want out," she whispered, drained.

He staggered under the power of her words, 'she wants out, after years of trudging the high waters with me, after years of being together, she wants out, like it doesn't matter, like it's that easy.' He stared at her, his hand balled into fist, pain written all over his face. "I know it hasn't been easy," he begun, "but we... you and I, we belong together, we are meant to -" but he was cut off.

"We are meant to part ways, we are destined to live our lives separately, can't you see, we had tried for three years, but look at us now, we still weren't able to make it," agony laced her voice but her words were firm, she was determined.

"Hye Jung-ah, listen to me..."

But she already made up her mind, his unwillingness to make her a priority just sealed it. "I'm exhausted, you know you're way out," was her reply, an end, to their conversation, to the discussion, to what they had.

She burrowed deeper in her bed, pulled the blanket up to her chin and turned to her side, away from him.

He just looked on, rendered speechless, his heart broken, his fire to live doused off.

Where Do Broken Hearts Go?

ITO GINAWA KO PARA KAY AHJUMMA, WALA LANG GUSTO KO LANG, HAHAHA...

They started as entertainment colleagues who played husband and wife in a reality show. They started as an awkward tandem, who didn't even know how to make a conversation, how to do a show.

Then they became this make-believe couple in the eyes of the public, a make-believe couple who were slowly learning about each other, trying to hold on to the littlest of things to make their relationship, or whatever, work and prosper.

One may credit it to their hard work or to their natural ability to be charming, them being husband and wife was such a hit, even they themselves were torn whether it was still for the show or if it was for real.

The secret looks, the silent stares, the timid smile, those teeny weeny details started it all - they bridged the gap between reality and make-believe... without them knowing. The thing is, it wouldn't have mattered even if they did.

Emotional barriers, personal restrictions, inferiorities, they had thought through that; internal battles, fights in the fore front, those were in their midst; and still they let each other fell. Tried as they might from saving each other, in the end, both fell in love... deeply.

Theirs didn't had a name, they knew that they both love each other, even with all the buts and the ifs, but it wasn't something official, they just felt it with their hearts, and that was enough. Enough to have made them glow, enough to have made them giddy, enough to have made them fly.

It was a private affair, an industry secret, their stint as a married couple is such a success because they weren't acting, they were playing their role for real. Their chemistry on-screen was strong enough to pull in everyone, but the friction and electricity off-screen was way up the grid, television sets would have exploded if their sweet moments were caught on cam.

The playhouse ended, but the characters remain.

Full schedules, rising careers, mobs of fans, breaking traditions, that's what they had gone through, months of not seeing each other, of not hearing any news, but they were able to pull through. For them, no distance, no distractions, no words were needed, because their hearts, what they had, it filled all gaps. What they had was pure, and that had been their leverage against the world.

And then, one snowy day, on the 20th month, they decided on taking the plunge, on putting a name, on being official.

They had the easiest of conversations, the simplest of dreams; they shared the hottest of kisses, the grandest of life; it was the greatest of love.

It was almost a happy ever after... sadly, they did not come out of a fairy tale.

The will to keep on fighting vanished, the urge to prove people wrong ceased, the conviction to make it to the end was lost and the belief that they are meant to be together forgotten.

What was left were snippets of the past, of what could have been...

And then, it was surrender!

"Not everyone who fall in love are meant to be together."

What's in A Name? (Part 2 - B)

ETO NA, WISH KO LANG WORTH THE WAIT ITETCH :P

His effort fell short.

The time he reached the restaurant, she was gone, long gone.

The night when they were supposed to celebrate their third anniversary, turned out to be the night that he broke another promise, the night he broke her heart yet again. The good man that he was, told him to just let her go... to a better place, to a better man; but the man that he is, the selfish and unfair man that he had become decided on holding on, on chasing after her, on promising anew.

And he did, erase that, he tried.

She had gotten wiser after dealing with him, with their relationship for the past three years, because the minute he spewed lengthy and flowery promises, she begun to make a demand of her own. A demand he can readily give now but he was stupid then, he made the wrong choice, he said the wrong words, he messed up. He thought it was a demand so unreasonable, she wasn't serious; he thought he can work his way out and about it, without her taking a notice; he thought it was just one of those demands that a girlfriend would make to have her petty revenge; he thought it was just a means to shake him, to ponder on his mistakes and do better.

But he thought wrong, it was an ultimatum.

It was a part of a tactical game that he didn't realized they were playing, it was one of those crucial moves and he miscalculated, and so he lose. And just like those cliche love stories, theirs ended, with the lead girl leaving her arse of a boyfriend behind, because he lacked the mental capacity to understand her and physiological ability to be in a relationship.

She turned her back and walked away, leaving him heartbroken... empty.

"The usual," he told the bartender.

He is a regular at the club, he usually comes with friends, but that night, those who belong in the entertainment world like him were busy working on their schedules, while those who work with regular jobs weren't thrilled with the idea of getting drunk on a weekday. 'It doesn't matter though, it's not like I still recognize them when I'm wasted,' he smirked inwardly.

He came straight from a photo shoot, he was tired as hell, but he needed his daily dose of liquor to lull him to sleep; if he don't, he'll just end up lying in bed restless, thinking about and missing her.

The bartender smiled and passed him his drink, "Where's the rest?" he inquired.

"Oh, some are busy, most are just sissy," he grinned at his own reply.

"Hye Jung-ah!"

The grin was wiped off his face, he was frozen on his seat.

But in that instant, he felt his heart beating, pumping blood through his veins, his heart heard her name and it functioned back to life.

The past couple of months, he has been living like the walking sculpture that he was dubbed as, without guilt, without pain, without hope, he didn't know when exactly he became numb to it all but all that was left of him was emptiness; he felt restlessness once in a while, when he's sober enough to actually feel a sense of loss, of missing her, but more than that, he was just a shell of what Kim Hyun Joong used to be.

She took it all away with her.

"Hye Jung-ah," the woman who was seated a few seats away from him called, again, while waving her hands up.

He looked at her, an unfamiliar face but he still followed her line of vision, albeit slowly, hoping against hope, that it was the same Hye Jung that he long to see, the one woman his heart beats for.

But he was bound to be disappointed, the lady sashaying her way closer to them was no way near the person she shared a name with. 'I should file a patent on her name, a label only she can have,' he thought, sighing.

His frustration prompt him to drink more than he planned to, "Hye Jung-ah," he breathed. The name brought a smile on his face.

"Hye Jung-ah," he whispered, a little louder, more audible.

"Hye Jung-ah," he huffed, it was loud enough for the few people beside him to hear.

"Hye Jung-ah," he called.

The woman who was lucky enough to be born with her name, came closer and seductively asked, "You call?"

He lifted a fraction of his head to look at her, he drowsily inquired, "Hyeee Juuung-aaah?"

"Yes," she replied, her excitement evident.

"Hye Jung-ah," he smiled, her name a sweet ambrosia to his alcohol bittered-mouth. He stood up, draped an arm around the girl's waist and walked out through the backdoor where his car and driver was waiting.

And that was what started it all, his playing with fire, his playing with her namesakes.

The first wasn't intentional, he even blamed it on alcohol; the second, partly was, he blamed it on being sober enough to had missed her to madness; the third, he wasn't entirely sure anymore; the fourth, fifth, sixth, up to his recent conquest, he had forgotten how to care.

He lost the conscience to give a damn, he forego the need to find a justification on what he was doing. Because every once in a while, he wants to feel his heartbeat, every once in a while, he wants to feel alive... and only she can make him feel that.

For every time he hears her name, his heart comes to life; for every time he says her name, he is awaken from a long and lifeless sleep; and for every time someone answers to his call, it feels like everything has fallen to its proper place, it feels like everything is finally okay. Only her name can give him the pleasure and the privilege of being whole. Only her.

He isn't proud of what he had become, but it was a means to survival. Humans were created with the instinct to survive, and he's just one.

He was actually doing good.

Until he heard the news.

*** Part 1 is here, Part 2 - A is here, in case you missed it :)

I Miss You So

Di na ko marunong magsulat, pero dahil marami na ko utang na fic, eto sapilitan, hahaha, pagtyagaan nyo na...

Special mentions - the_BRUHA, ellehcar817 (their twitter names), just because i am an absentee twitter buddy and i adore their compliments, it makes my heart flutter *grins*. and to my ff-addicted chinggus, you know who you are, love yah!

You lift the glass to your mouth and let the amber liquid flow and burn your throat, as you stare at the woman who had starred in your dreams the moment she came into your life and haunted it the instant she left. The woman you had promised to love and to cherish, the woman you hurt and pushed away, the woman who for the past hours haven't shown any indication that she knows you, that you were once a part of her life.

You both belong in the same industry so meeting each other was never a mystery, she is the epitome of what a man wants and what a woman wishes to be. You were an antsy youth the first you two met, and her being the quintessence of a dream girl, yours to be exact, didn't help in the matter. The second, third and other random meetings and bump-ins didn't redeem your first impression failure, but still, you must have done something really good in your past life to warrant a chance to work with her... closely work with her. You landed the best job in the world, you played her pretend husband for eight months, you wanted it longer but you were owned by your management company at that time and you had no say in such matters.

But then, the heart doesn't concern itself with trivial matters like time and space, it doesn't know of boundaries, it doesn't measure and weigh, it just beats to let us live... and love.

Being with her was, in your perspective, the closest thing to heaven. Looking back, you were a few steps away from it, but a moment of doubt took all your chances. Your heaven is a grand mansion, a penthouse, a humble room, anywhere she's willing to live, the place you'll remain for eternity; your ambrosia is her smile, her laughter, her stares, sweeter than any a god had ever tasted; your nirvana is her, living with her is a calm no other can give, a balm to your exhausted body and tired soul. It was... almost...

You were young then, the reason you forced yourself to believe, the truth, you were a weakling. You wilted when faced with a problem, you showed fear and hesitation, you let go of her hand and turned your back. You still clearly remember that night.

"A rumor about an idol having an intimate relationship with one of his sunbaes has been on top of every search engine all day, haven't you heard?"

"I did."

"So what do we do? It's obviously about us..."

"Calm down, the writer didn't hint on any names, so it is still relative."

"Calm down? How can I, when the life that I worked so hard on building is on the brink of tumbling down? How can you stand here and tell me to calm down? What do I do if it comes out that we're together, how will I deal with it, huh?"

"I don't know, either. It's too early, how did they find out,
I haven't think this far..."

"That's exactly the problem, we didn't think this through, aaah, I don't know, I need to get out of here..."

It was just a moment, but that was all that she needed.

You received a text message from her saying that everything will be okay, and the fool that you were thought that she understands, that you were forgiven.

That was the last you heard from her.

You know that you're unworthy, undeserving, but that didn't stop you from missing her, from loving her.

That was three years ago, you're still the heartthrob that girls and women fantasizes about but you also became one of the most sought after leading man in the industry, a respectable singer and songwriter, one of the brightest multi-media Hallyu star and now is in the process of breaking the international market; while she had gone to conquer Europe - she raised the charts in the UK, she graced countless magazines in France and Italy, and her fashion creations are visible in the whole continent, apparently, she came back to do the same in Asia.

Yes, she came back.

You approach her, hoping she wouldn't run, but the glint of pride you see on her eyes told you that the thought never crossed her mind.

"Anyeonghaseyo," you greeted.

"Hyun Joong-sshi," she quipped, direct and distant.

"You look good, ani, you are beautiful!"

"Komapta, you're not so bad yourself," she smirked. "How are you? Have you been good?"

"Ani..."

"Huh..."

"I miss you so," you confessed, no sweet talk, no lengthy explanations, just a sincere plea for a second chance.

To My Mother

Like a flower...
you bloom with rare beauty and charm.
Like a bird...
you soar up with such confidence and pride.

Like the sun...
you smile with total warmth and tenderness.
Like the sea...
you create waves of inspiration and love.

I have never seen
a lady as lovely as you;
Nor have I met
a person as caring as you are.

You've thought me everything I know,
You've given me everything I need.
You've done a great job rearing me,
You're the best mother, indeed!

*** I wrote this several years ago, when I still see life as a fairy tale, the way I look at life had changed drastically since then but the way I see my mother remains the same and it'll forever be. I love you omma, Happy Mother's Day!

What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet... would it really? :P

October, 2012, Seoul, South Korea

"Ma'am," the maitre 'd got her attention, "Mr. Kim Hyun Joong's manager just called, he wouldn't be able to make it tonight, his filming schedule is extended to a few more scenes," he regretfully informed her. "He also said that he's been trying to contact you but you're not picking up."

"Oh," she sighed, "I left my phone at home," she tried her damnedest to smile.

"I shall take my leave now, but please don't hesitate to tell me if you need anything," he told her with an accommodating smile.

"Thank you."

She rid her face of the fake smile the minute the maitre 'd turned his back. She let the mask of a content and understanding girlfriend down, and let herself feel the disappointment, the disillusionment, the pain. And after a long and winding process, she had, finally, decided to throw in the towel and admit defeat,'Funny, how I've been holding on to him these past few years, trying to make this relationship last, when in reality I don't have him to hold onto since the beginning, funny how it took me three cancelled anniversary dates before I realize that... it's even funnier how I kept on saying how funny the situation is when I can't even hold a smile... life really is ironic.'

She is heartbroken, but then again, her heart's been breaking for a long time now, another tore piece, appended pain... for the last time. She can handle that, she has a master's degree in that area. She stood up and left, leaving the love she held dear and the life she had wished and hoped for, without looking back.

If only she had...

"Hyung did you reached her?" the young man agitatedly asked.

"She's not picking up her phone so I decided to directly contact the restaurant and asked them to relay the message to her," his manager replied.

Their last conversation came to mind.

"You have a surprise event for me on our anniversary, chincha? Aren't you filming on that day?"

"I am but it won't take that long so I have all night to celebrate with you, and I promise that it'll be the best anniversary ever. I have everything mapped and planned out, and I'm betting you'll love me even more after that," he stated smugly.

"Jeungmal? Chincha, chincha jeungmal?" she pressed on, more than excited to spend time with him. "Do you wanna know a secret?"

"Hmm, I might" he teased.

"Your presence is enough to make me happy, I don't wanna celebrate an anniversary by myself for another year," she said with a smile but her tone said otherwise.

And he felt it, he needs to be by her side on their special day, he missed the opportunity, no, the privilege to spend it with her the past two years, he shouldn't anymore.

"And to make sure that you won't cancel on me, I will leave my mobile phone home, I won't bring a car, I'll have to ask Euni unnie to send me," she narrated. "With that in mind, would you still dare to do a no-show?"

"Hyung, call them back, tell them to do everything they can to hold her there, tell them that I'm coming but I may take a little while. Tell them to help me stall her, bide me some time..." he commanded. He stared at the older man, uncertain on what to do next, he must have been jolted back to his senses, kicked by an invisible persona, guided by the holy spirit, whatever it was, it prompted him to move, wishing that he wasn't too late, hoping that she'll be there to welcome him.

"Yah, Kim Hyun Joong, where do you think you're going, what am I going to tell the director? Yah!"

"You deal with it hyung, I'll be relying on you," he said, loud enough for his manager to hear, waving a hand in the air as he purposely walked away.

The waiting staff of the posh restaurant were secretly taking a peek at her, trying to see what her reactions will be - will she cry and wallow in self-pity, will she get mad and throw a temper tantrum, will she wait in silence?

"Is she alright?" one of them asked the maitre 'd as he came in.

"Did she asked for anything?" another one butted in.

"Is Kim Hyun Joong oppa coming still, I so wanna see him upfront," the youngest of the bunch dreamily chimed in.

"She's too pretty to be waiting in vain, if I were Kim Hyun Joong -" one of the man started to say but was cut by another. "If I were him, I would give up everything to spend a night, or day, with her, look at her, she's a masterpiece."

"And that's where the problem lies, you both aren't," a sunbae lectured and put them in their place.

The ringing of the phone brought them back to reality and forced them to stand on their respective places. As the receptionist picked up the call, the rest of the staff held their breath as Hwangbo Hye Jung, got up, fixed her dress, picked her handbag, acknowledged them all with a sincere, albeit, somber smile and took her leave.

"Wait," the receptionist yelled in a hurry as she put the receiver back in its cradle. "Run after her, Kim Hyun Joong-sshi is on his way, that's his manager on the phone, they asked us to entertain her while she waits."

"Hwangbo-sshi," they screamed in unison, the others tried running after her but she already hailed a cab and left... without looking back.

*** Next part will be posted when I receive my chocolates, hahaha...

What's in a Name?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LLOYDIE AND PAPERCRANE, LOVE YOU BOTH!

Summer of 2015, Bali Indonesia

Hwangbo Hye Jung was walking along the sandy beaches, serene, contemplative. Enraptured by the beauty that is Bali and reminiscent of the past, a memory that still makes her wonder. She was oblivious of a man, of a pair of eyes that was staring at her, with such yearning and ache. He was watching each step, her every move, like she was someone he knew and he was checking if she still have the same body contours, the same silhouette, if she was still the same person. And the minute he was certain, he made his move.

"Hwangbo-sshi," he whispered as he neared her.

She heard a faint sound, like someone was calling her name, she paid no heed thinking that it was just the wind. She is in a secluded island, afterall, where only the elite and the privileged roam. She is in a country where her name is known to a few, so to claim that someone called her was, in a way, preposterous.

A gust of wind, a gentle tap in the shoulder.

"Hye Jung," a hushed tone. "Hwangbo-sshi," this time he said it full-mouthed. Like the first one was just a slip of the tongue, an endearment only he can hear, a name he was familiar with unbeknownst to all, a secret from her.

"Hyun Joong-sshi," she gasped, a happy surprise. "Annyeong!"

He smiled and bowed, "Annyeong! I never thought we will meet here, of all places," he mumbled.

"Yeah," she sighed. "But it's nice seeing you, you grew up well."

He looked pained, as if he suffered a blow, "Yeah, I grew up, but I was years late, wasn't I?"

His words brought her eyes upon his, she saw longing and regret, though his face remained expressionless, a mask.

"Hyun Joong," she breathed.

Hwangbo Hye Jung and Kim Hyun Joong first met on 2005, she was striving as a solo artist as her group decided on pursuing individual work and he was striving as a member and leader of a newly-formed idol group. Their meeting was inevitable as they belong in the same industry but they never did run in the same circle, until, they both signed that contract, the contract that made them a married couple, the contract that forced them closer, the contract that sealed their fate.

She's everything a man wants and hopes for, she's perfect in every sense; he didn't signed up for a heartbreak so he tried his best to distance himself. But the more he learned, the more he loved... though he fought hard to resist, the spell that she cast he just couldn't withstand.

Their relationship turned into something real, the make-believe newly-wed couple became real-life sweethearts. Heaven was in his hands and he thought it was forever.

It could have been, but his forever was cut short three years later, she had wanted something he wasn't ready to give.

He made his choice, he stuck with the career that he worked so hard for, he stood for the fans that helped him be what he is, and she... she let him go and leave.

By the time that it became clear, she was already gone; when he became sure, it was already too late. One thing he learned - Heartbreak can't kill, and he's a living proof. He is soulless, drifting to nowhere but still alive, hurting, waiting for the time when all will be over.

"I'm sorry," he broke the silence.

"Huh," she said in reply, her mind in a glaze.

"I heard that you got married," he choked. "Is your husband with you?", he added after a while, the strain in his voice lucid.

She didn't expect his inquiry, and she was mulling on how and what to say when a pretty, little girl run excitedly towards them.

"Appa," the child shouted with all her might, in full smile, eyes twinkling.

She caught her breath. 'He has a kid,' her only coherent thought.

Hyun Joong grinned and opened her arms wide, waiting for the little tot to reach his embrace, his joy more than evident. He lifted her up the minute she approached, a proud father; she giggled and kissed him gleefully, a happy daughter.

"Hello," the girl greeted her with a warm smile and a wave.

Something seemed to be stuck on her throat but she managed to smile and say hi. "What is her name?", she directed the question to him.

"Hye Jung," he answered, his eyes never leaving hers.

She just stared at him, loss for words.

"I wasn't able to hold on to the woman to which the name belongs, I wasn't able to keep you," his words were coated with woes. "I had to, at least, have your name, it didn't make my life better, it didn't lessen the pain, it didn't bring back what I had lost but it is better than nothing," he smiled, contrition etched on his face. "And every time I tell her I love her, I feel like you can hear me whisper your name."

"I love you Hye Jung!"

"I love you too, Appa!"

But he was still looking at her, only her...

Soulmate

No. 5, finally! A little caution though, it's kind of R-18 :P

Kim Hyun Joong was absentmindedly drinking his beer when In Young, unabashedly tapped him on the back, immediately bringing him out of his reverie. "Your soulmate is here," his longtime friend muttered.

He instantaneously turned and looked around, and there she was, exquisite... as always. And for the nth time since he knew her, he wondered, how can she be so magnificently stunning in the simplest of clothes, she was wearing a pair of dark denim boy shorts, vintage white tee and espadrilles accentuated with a few bangles. You put her on a catwalk filled with fashion brand-clad women and she'll still shine, in his eyes at least, perpetually.

"New boyfriend?" In Young's voice cut his more pleasant train of thoughts, his attention suddenly veered at the man who was standing beside her, hand on her back, as if he has the right to.

"No," his terse reply.

"Oh, so we have another one in our throng, he passed the requirements and now is in line for consideration. What a lucky bastard!"

"Aish In Young, suitor, he's just a suitor, why can't you just say that? Why do you have to go on and on and on..."

"To tick you off," he challenged.

"You didn't have to go that far," he said with a smirk on his face.

"I know," his reply, mischief evident in his eyes. "I think, no other person on earth hates the term soulmate more than you."

"And I bet you're wondering why?"

In Young couldn't help but guffawed at his response, "I shall take my leave then, the birthday celebrant needs to welcome his guest... together with her guest," he continuously piqued.

His friend of almost twenty years left his side to attend to his duties as the host of the party, a small but sincere smile spread across his face, it'll be a lie if he say that In Young's non-stop talk about his circumstance doesn't annoy him but as he had served as his shock absorber from three years ago up until the present he just let him be. He's the only person who can talk shit to and about him without getting his face rearrange.

====================

The party ended an hour ago, Kim Hyun Joong went home alone while the woman he adores left, still, with her date. He spent four hours of his life staring at the unwanted couple party the night away, he was raging like a bull, in silence. No one knew, no one should. He was afterall her soulmate, oh how he detest the word.

They had seen each other in various events and TV programs, they had passed each other on studios and TV channels several times, they had exchanged polite greetings and shy smile, they were colleagues, nothing more, nothing less. Until that fateful Tuesday of 2008, it marked the changing of tides - Tuesdays became his favorite time of the week, getting up and working at the break of dawn became a well-loved routine, playing a make-believe husband became a role he so wanted to be real, she became his addiction and being married to her, legitimately, became a life-long dream.

They clicked, they just did. No false pretenses, no force intimacy, no for TV romance; they started as two totally different individuals in Jeju, the gap between them was so palpable, you can build an entire soccer field in between and not one of them would have notice, that turned into silent but trying their damnedest honeymooners, they started to reached out to each other through her lead and through much cajoling from the variety show staff and crew; they became these awkward make-believe husband and wife who tried to live a normal life as a couple, which was next to impossible as the both of them weren't normal, which then became their saving grace, as their quirky ideas and funky lifestyle soon set the trend to a fun married life; they were these funny on-screen loveteam whose vivacity turns every minute into an exciting memory, they continued to have their moments of silence but it was needed, it equals to their moments of magic, it was during those times when they feel the broken barriers at its best, when there were only them and nothing else mattered; they might had ended the show in a haste but, fortunately for them, their relationship didn't suffered the same fate, they endured the distance, the differences, the anti-fans, they became friends, close friends, bonded for life.

He knows that there was something in-between them, something more than what she's willing to settle for, and he knows that she felt it, too. Their chemistry is so conspicuous, no number of periodic tables or amount of chemical formula can compare to them, he knew, she knew, heck, every goddamn person who saw them knew. But they remain, she said they can never be, he thinks otherwise but what can he really do, back then, he thought it was better than nothing, so a soulmate he became.

Soulmate, in general, is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, similarity, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, or compatibility; she's all that to him and his trying ultra hard to prove that he is all that to her. The world views the term differently, each individual uses the word in variations, but he cares not about them as the only person he hold under regard is Hwangbo Hye Jung, the woman who makes him feel all sorts of happiness and perplexity, the woman who turns the colors of his world into rainbows and darkness, the woman who add sprinkles of hope and dashes of faith to his being. She was the one who coined the word for what they are, for what they have, it would have been good if she doesn't have this absurd and bizarre definition of what a soulmate is, for Hwangbo Hye Jung, a soulmate is someone who is preordained by God to be with her, to stand by her, to understand and love her whatever maybe, the twin of her soul, and she, in an effort to protect what God has blessed her with, promised herself that if and when she meets that person, she would do everything in her power to keep him and, with all the hassles that could accompany her pledge, she chose not to have any romantic link with her soulmate. Her adage - "Romance and love affairs are full of complexities that we should not care for and be bothered with, we were one at birth, separated but united again, and I'll do everything in my power to have it stay that way, so I can keep you till the day I meet our Creator." Who could counter that, seriously, who would?

But... it has been years, and he's getting tired, no, erase that, he is really tired. He is tired of pretending that it's okay to remain friends, he is tired of keeping mum about all the men who wants to be with her, he is tired of just looking and dreaming and hoping that someday, a twist or leap of fate will happen between them. He is tired of being a soulmate in words, he wants something better, something more...

And in his book, spending three years, waiting, is quite enough.

====================

Hye Jung came in after bidding her date goodnight, she threw her purse in the bed and set foot to prepare herself a lukewarm bath. She was stripping out of her clothes when her hand phone beeped, "Home safe?", an inquiry from Hyun Joong.

"Yup, I'll call you in a while," she texted back.

"Soulmate is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, similarity, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality and compatibility," his reply. She read, shrugged, stripped off to her skin and moved to take a bath.

She put a hand in the surface to test the water temperature, turned the faucet off when she was satisfied, climbed on the tub and submerged her body under water. She had a great night, but hours of dancing coupled with the series of action-packed filming she did over the week had definitely taken its toll on her body, she can almost hear her skin sigh as the water sluiced over her, she stretched her sore limbs and tired body as she basked in the clear liquid. The water was acting as a balm to her exhaustion, she was almost off to slumber when she heard a sudden intake of breath.

She swiftly opened her eyes, she live alone, has been for years, and she knew that she's more than capable of defending herself but, she guess, nothing can really prepare a person from the real deal as alarm coursed through her entirety. Her heart was stuck in her mouth as she caught sight of the intruder, her color turned to hot pink as she stared at Kim Hyun Joong.

He was standing by the bathroom door, blatantly perusing her naked body, "Hye Jung-ah!"

"What are you doing here, get out!" she hissed, as she hastily pulled her hair forward to cover her breast and did a semi-fetal pose.

He disappeared for a moment and she started breathing again, she decided to cut her personal time to face her uninvited guest. She stepped out of the bathtub, meaning to put on her robe, when he suddenly reappeared, a towel in hand.

"What the -" she yelped.

"Quiet Hye Jung," he commanded as he wrapped the towel around her.

The thought that she was standing in her birth suit, with just a towel covering her body, in front of one of the most beautiful man in the country made her blushed furiously. She stood there, arms pinned to her sides by the small fabric, stunned; while he was sentient, ready to advance.

He took advantage of her confinement and pressed his lips onto hers, in a kiss that tells of years of yearning.

He nibbled at her lower lip, laving it with his tongue before using her gasp to gain entrance to her mouth. He groaned when he tasted her and she shook in his arms as he held her tightly against him.

He slid his thigh between hers and pulled her forward until she straddled it. With his mouth pillaging hers, he worked her against his thigh until a spiraling heat emanated from deep in her belly. Her cry was swallowed by his lips and she shook at the non-existent steam coming off her flesh.

It went on and on as he rocked her against him, until she whimpered and slumped in his arms.

"What was that?" Her voice was husky and weak even to her.

"Have you never had a climax before?"

She blushed scarlet, "I don't mean that!"

He held her chin and tilted her head up, forcing her to look him in the eye, he grinned and kissed her full in the mouth, "I know."

His hands were rubbing up and down her spine, warming her with friction and giving her a secure feeling when her life had just spun out of control.

Sighing, she rubbed up against him, the prod of his erection through his clothing finally did what nothing else had managed to... it snapped her out of her sensual haze and sent her stumbling backward. "I am sorry. I didn't mean to..."

"Mean to what? Drive me insane? I have wanted you since forever, I think, I can handle a few more excruciating minutes of pent up emotions."

He carried and sit her on the edge of the bed, took the towel off and proceeded on wiping her dry. She just let him be, still weak and at a loss.

He then kneel in front of her, "Have you read my last message?"

"Huh," she asked, in a daze.

"Soulmate..."

"Oh... yeah!"

"Hye Jung-ah listen to me," he wanted to explain what he meant, he wanted her to fully understand, but every breath she took was a distraction, every sigh she heaved was seduction, every rise and fall of her bosom made him grew harder, every contraction in her abs arouse him to no end, he was a patient a man, he really is, or at least, he used to be.

He moved closer, still kneeling, but in perfect position between her thighs, he loosened his hold on her waist and began to glide his hands up until he reached the tips that were begging for his attention, he saw her close her eyes and heard her sharp intake of breath; he lightly circled both tips with his thumb and earned a moan from her, she lurched her head back and arched her chest forward giving him more freedom to do what he wanted; he gave one nipple a slight pinch, willing her to open her eyes and she did as she let out a gasp; he locked his eyes on hers, "You're mine, all mine," he whispered before he took one crown on his mouth, beginning their journey, sealing their fate... as soulmates.

The End

Me: I come in peace *grins*.

You: Boo!

Me: I know that I'm a little behind schedule... alright, a lot, but you see, life is somewhat hindering me from writing. Stuff happened and my creative juices and penning mojo was suddenly cut, drained, lost, etc., etc.

You: Boohoo!

Me: It's true, swear!

You: Excuses, excuses...

Me: Aish... you do the writing then and I'll read your work, a swap in position, let's do that huh *smirk*.

You: We love you *lifting up a big tarpaulin with my name and pic on it*!

Me: That's more like it, I love you too my lovelies!

Hahaha, don't mind that...

Isn't this song beautiful? I remember watching a Joongbo MV with this song, it was done by rikki or nikki margaret but I think her account was suspended, does anyone know her, she's one of the pioneers in this ship, I reviewed the whole of Joongbo Soompi *grins proudly*, can you ask her to upload it back with the rest of her MVs, I so miss watching those, please...

Serendipity

Number 4, happy reading!

Serendipity, how do one describe thee?

Merriam Webster disclosed that it is the faculty or phenomenon of finding valuable or agreeable things not sought for.

Wikipedia explained that it denotes the property of making fortunate discoveries while looking for something unrelated, or the occurrence of such a discovery during such a search.

I, based on what I had found and read, thinks that it is a lucky occurrence, interchangeable with fate and destiny in literary pieces but in the real sense, the three words are distinctly related but cannot replace the other.

But to one man, those academic references nor my point of view doesn't matter, to him, serendipity equates to her. To Kim Hyun Joong, serendipity is Hwangbo Hye Jung.

He is not a sucker for romanticism so thinking that he reached that conclusion in a short span of time is reckless and a bit presumptuous, it took him years before he finally caught on and a few years more before he finally understands.

Most of you will have questions, some will draw their own conclusions, others will just read and accept the story as it is, but it doesn't matter, whether you belong to the most, to some or to others because we are but observers, onlookers, spectators, okay, I'll go as far as witnesses to his tale, to their story, it just happened that I got a better deal as I am the storyteller.

Shall I begin?

Kim Hyun Joong traced back his link to Hwangbo Hye Jung way back in 2004, their first connection, his first lucky occurrence - their serendipity.

He was just a struggling trainee back then, and aside from the usual non-stop vocal and dance training; learning about public presence, fan service and media relations; strict diet, muscle toning, skin care and all that aesthetic hullabaloo, they were also instructed to familiarize themselves with the other idol groups and their members. DSP handled three of the more known idols of that time - Fin.kle, Scheskies, Click B, but there were more and for the tired and stubborn Hyun Joong, that was unnecessary.

The day of their oral examinations came, he was agitated but as he had long practiced the art of being expressionless, no one guessed, no one found out.

His turn came, a smorgasbord of pictures were scattered in front of him, he uninterestedly looked at each, he knew nothing about anyone, he was sure he will fail and he saw no point in pretending. But one photo caught his eye, he had no idea who she was but there's something about her that's drawing him in, he reached out, meaning to take a closer look, he was so focused on her that he didn't hear a word out of their instructor's mouth, imagine his surprise when the man in front of him yelled that he was right while the other trainees jeered. A smile stretched across his face when he regained his senses, thinking that she save him.

Being an idol trainee wasn't easy, they were put in hell and back just to go through the same process all over again, the woman might have stolen a piece of his mind and heart but he never had the time to really mull about it.

Year 2005, a few months before SS501's debut, he sneaked out of their dorm and together with some non-showbiz friends visited a studio filming of a variety show which had Bi (Rain) as a guest among others, they snapped a pic and scrambled away. To those who do not know, Hyun Joong is a big fan of the international star who then was just an idol like him. When the film was developed, he was astonished to see more than what he hoped for, behind him was her. The woman who saved him was having her make-up done and she looked more beautiful, if ever that is possible.

His second fortunate discovery - their serendipity.

He then found out that she was the forehead-bejeweled member of the defunct girl idol group Chakra, "She was pretty as an Indian woman in their music videos but she is hella prettier without all those dark make-ups and layers of clothing."

How can he not know that when they are working in the same industry, you may ask, well, it is quite simple, he just didn't give a damn. For him, only those that are of consequence should matter. That's just how he is.

Their debut was a success, their group was a hit, and soon he was dragged in the waves of the entertainment world, he drowned in the privileges and responsibilities that accompanied the money and popularity and she was again forgotten.

But serendipity must have mistook them as guinea pigs as it continuously played a crucial role in their love story, serendipity put them on the spot time and again, observing, waiting.

He was dubbed as a 4d prince by the public, the result of being dazed on most interviews and TV/radio appearances, his group members often reasoned out that it is his personal concept, a little white lie to pacify everyone. The truth, he was just in it for the music, to sing, to write songs, to play his guitar, he wasn't ready to deal with the rest, he even wondered if he'll ever be.

Year 2006, his third and fourth agreeable phenomenon eventuated - their serendipity on a roll.

On one of his earlier guesting in a variety show, he chanced upon her, he didn't know that she was a mainstay of the program, but he was more that happy that she was. I told you serendipity was using them for her own amusement, as he was tasked to faced her, to tease and pick on her for the sake of the viewers, of ratings. It was such a hard task, looking at her up close, all pretty and dolled up, smiling, inviting, she was captivating and preventing himself from stuttering was difficult enough, he made it through though, but he couldn't help but apologize in the end, they both knew that what had transpired between them was scripted but in his mind, it was wrong still.

They are in the same line of work so the two of them seeing and meeting each other from time to time is but ordinary but them always ending up in different teams and being rivals, he didn't think so. Actually, he did, he just changed his mind and his outlook a couple of years after, when he was already in too deep.

Next they met, they were to beat each other in kai bai bo (rock, paper and scissors), they both came as guests but they end up in different teams yet again, he won, she lost, but it didn't matter because by that time, undistinguished to him and unknown to her, she already had him, she won him over.

Days passed, seasons changed, but that littlest of feeling remained.

Year 2007, he had the opportunity to host a music program, his very first. In the list of individuals and groups that he introduced throughout the show, one name stood out, one special person made it truly memorable.

Another valuable phenomenon, his fifth - their serendipity, he's beginning to think it's endless.

That same year, he and another member were invited to graced one of the longest running talk show in Korean entertainment, he was jittery because he found out that his ideal woman was going to be there with them. Gaiety barely describe what he's feeling on the day of their taping, but when another woman showed up and sat an arm away from his seat, he's emotion reached new heights - euphoria, nirvana.

Her laughter spread warmth to his being, her stories brought smiles to his face, her sense of humor elicited chuckles from him, her easy-going personality drove him to know her better. He sort of envied her friends in the studio, the way she talked to them, the way she laughed at their jokes, the way she hit and slapped them mirthfully, the way she looked at them, he, actually, wished that he'll experience being one someday.

His sixth fortunate discovery - another one in the list of their serendipity.

Year 2008 marked the greatest in the list of serendipity that linked the two, they worked and acted as fake husband and wife in a TV program. Hwangbo Hye Jung was initially chosen to be partnered with another artist, someone on the same age bracket perhaps, but she was nowhere to be found, she was on a career hiatus and she hid herself well. Kim Hyun Joong, on the other hand, was supposed to be coupled with a female singer who shared the same 4D personality, but that plan never came about. In the end, the two got together and gave Korea, heck, they gave the world one hell of a show.
They showed everyone how awkwardness, silence, laughter, out-of-this-world way of thinking, peculiar way of caring equates love.

You wanna know a secret, by their 3rd filming, he, Kim Hyun Joong, already realized that she, Hwangbo Hye Jung, fits the description of his ideal woman... to perfection, from her physical beauty to her boyish demeanor, from her wayward friendliness to her wifely attributes. She is the one.

Another fortunate discovery, his seventh valuable phenomenon, the ultimate lucky occurrence - their serendipity, their story.

Do you believe?

ANNOTATION:

I know that not everyone will get what I'm trying to say, any other day, I wouldn't have cared, hahaha, but because I'm all sorts of nice this midnight, here's an annotation for everyone.

1st - i think this one is self-explanatory, if picking a random photo of a woman who you knew nothing about but was pulling you like a magnet, which turned out to be the answer to the question you didn't even knew was asked of you is not considered as serendipity, I don't know what is. This, however, is a by-product of my imagination.

2nd - isn't it lucky and beneficent that the woman who caught his eye but lay forgotten on his mind popped out of a picture that was taken without her in thought. Imagine yourself taking a selca and when you print it out, a ghost was sitting beside you, hahaha, unfortunately for you, you caught a ghost on cam, fortunately for Hyun Joong, he caught a goddess, hurhur. Sadly, this is another by-product of my wild imagination.

3rd - This one sort of laid the groundwork for their reunion years later as a make-believe husband and wife. The two meeting in a show is quite ordinary, he being chosen as his riling partner still counts as ordinary but them using the same jokes and crap they threw each other on 2006 when they met again in 2008 is, I think, extraordinary. If that is not serendipity, then do tell me what it is?

4th - Kai Bai Bo is a trademark Ssangchu game, it solved most of their problems, clarified a number of misunderstandings, brought out much fun and laughter. Them, meeting and battling it out in Rock, Paper and Scissors way before WGM with Hwangbo on the loosing end was like deja vu in reverse. It's like the force of nature were preparing them for what to come. Third and fourth, really happened, the guesting I mean, but the story around it, is as usual a telltale from me.

5th - Korea invest a lot in their entertainment industry and to say that their singers, dancers, idol groups, actors and actresses, host, gagmen and women, etc. abound and overflowed is no exaggeration, so Hwangbo being present and introduced by Hyun Joong on his first hosting gig spells serendipity. It's like having your hair done in the most splendid way and then you accidentally bump to your long-time crush, that's serendipity in motion. The hosting and singing happened in real, the story behind it, I made it up, haha.

6th - who doesn't know about the CTP episode that I am pertaining to, if you don't, stop reading and go watch it first, it's fun, I tell you. Hyun Joong was expecting to see Lee Hyori, he actually prepared himself to do so, but to his surprise and satisfaction, Hwangbo was also present and she was at arms length, very pretty, deliriously funny and appetizingly witty, and she more than swallowed the presence of the other girl in his eyes. I'm telling you, that is serendipity. The guesting happened, Kim Hyun Joong's thought is just a fantasy, or maybe not, who are we to know anyway.

7th - WGM! Need I say more? If you don't get this one, go jump out of this ship, you don't belong, hahaha!

A lot of my brain cells imploded and exploded because of this one, so you better show me some love :P
